Ask your MP to stand up for modern slavery support

Modern slavery robs people of their freedom, safety, health, and so much more. Currently, 100,000 people are thought to be living in conditions tantamount to modern slavery in the UK, including survivors of labour abuse, sexual exploitation, organ harvesting and domestic servitude. Yet, when survivors overcome all odds to report abuse and seek help, there is no guarantee that they will be supported in the first days after reporting abuse, nor that they will be supported for the full length of time they need to recover.

This is why the Government's decision to shelve plans to offer support to survivors of modern slavery, earlier and for longer, are so shocking.

It is vital that MPs publicly stand against the row back of rights currently facing survivors of exploitation at serious risk.
